48 Baptized in the Ocean-Oct 2025

Greeting from Mexico Family & Friends,
Yearly, I (Cheryl) set aside a few weeks in August to travel to Canada to visit family, and supporters of the Mexico Recovery Ministry. Crafting, baking, tea parties, family BBQ, games, visiting the local Farmers Market and so much more always leaves me filled and ready to head back to Mexico. It is great to visit, but it’s always a blessing to come home and serve alongside Francisco in ministry.
1 of 48 baptized in the ocean. Calvary Rosarito-Francisco is one of 17 pastors at Calvary Rosarito. Calvary Rosarito is growing! We are up to four services on a weekend. Weekly people are responding to the call to follow Jesus. Monthly these new believers have the opportunity to be baptized. In August the church offered beach baptisms. It was incredible to see 48 people baptized in the ocean, publicly declaring their new faith in Jesus. Please join us in prayer for the many new believers that they grow strong in their new relationship with Jesus.
Pastor Eddie & Jeanette dressed up for our CR Independence Day Celebration.
Celebrate Recovery Calvary Rosarito-HOMEX is a church located near the Rosarito dump. Eddie pastors the church with his wife Jeanette serving next to him. Eddie, Jeanette and many of their congregation are in the Celebrate Recovery program.
A message from Jeanette: “At Capilla Calvario Homex the Celebrate Recovery program has been a powerful tool that God has used to bring healing, transformation and has strengthened the unity of the congregation, building a culture of compassion, accountability and hope.
Eddie’s story: “My name is Eddie and I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. I grew up with a mom and dad. When I found out my mom had an affair, I lost all respect for women. I was filled with anger, resentment and violence. My dysfunctional actions eventually got me deported from the USA into Mexico. I had a drug problem which landed me in the worst place to be, a Mexican prison. I saw men around me worshipping God and praying. I decided to try it! God answered my prayer; I went from having a 15-year sentence to 7 months. When I got out of prison, I met Jeanette and moved in with her. We both struggled with drugs. One day I was attacked by some guys, who claimed to be Christians, at a nearby rehab center. I was out for revenge. I tucked my gun in my belt and I started following them. I planned to take their lives, but God had another plan. I followed them into a church called Calvary Rosarito. I was given an opportunity that changed my life. I responded to the call to invite Jesus into my heart. I put my gun away and began my new life with Jesus. My wife and I went through the Celebrate Recovery program and the Church Planting course. Today I am the pastor of Homex. Our hope is to raise leaders so we can host Celebrate Recovery at Homex in the future. Thanks for letting me share.”
God’s desire is for each of us to find Him and find freedom from our hurts, habits and hang-ups. Francisco and I are grateful for your partnership with us here in Mexico.
If you have not had the opportunity to join Francisco and I on this journey of bringing the lost and broken down the Road to Recovery, we would ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us. Your financial gifts will help us have an even greater impact in the lives of the Mexican people.
Blessings,
Cheryl & Francisco
