Greetings from Mexico Family and Friends,
Francisco and I had a surprise visit from our daughter Jessica and granddaughters Aly and Maddy. Our visit was filled with fun and exploring different areas of Rosarito, Ensenada and San Diego. Spending time at the ocean was an all time favorite for all!

Here at Celebrate Recovery Calvary Rosarito, we are a group of people who struggle with hurts, habits and hang-ups learning to depend on Jesus' love and healing. In today’s world, men, women, youth and children are seeking freedom from past hurts. Through Celebrate Recovery Calvary Rosarito, whole families come to accept that some of our negative habits are developed in order to escape our pain. These negative habits have not only harmed ourselves, but have hurt those close to us.
Celebrate Recovery Calvary Rosarito’s 10th Annual Networking Event
In October we will be hosting our annual Celebrate Recovery Networking event. Our theme for this year is “Beyond Ordinary”. Our powerful guest speakers come to us with Celebrate Recovery backgrounds. As they share how our past is an important part of today's actions, whole families will be filled with hope as our speakers share God’s plan for their lives. Not only will we hear life changing messages, we will also hear powerful testimonies of how God used Celebrate Recovery to transform lives. Please keep us in prayer as we prepare to host this event. Pray that God will bring many to attend the event and hear how Celebrate Recovery Calvary Rosarito is making a difference in the lives of His people.
Juanita, Rous & Fernando-Celebration Place Servant Leaders
Juanita, Rous and Fernado are our leaders of Celebration Place, which is Celebrate Recovery’s program designed for children between 7 to 12 years of age. These servant leaders are teaching our children how to break the cycles of dysfunction, and help them grow in their relationship with Jesus. These children also learn healthy coping skills, how to pray for their families, and build healthy relationships with friends.
Recovery for the whole family is important because issues affect the whole family, not just the individual struggling. Involving the whole family in recovery provides a stronger support network for the individual, and promotes healing for everyone involved.
PRISON MINISTRY
June marked the 16th anniversary of our Prison Ministry Team launching Celebrate Recovery Inside in the Ensenada Prison. Many of those years, there has been talk from the prison officials about building a kitchen for the female inmates. Last year the Ensenada Prison asked our Prison Ministry team if we were interested in helping raise funds to build a small commercial kitchen for the female inmates. Having a kitchen would allow the women inmates the opportunity to cook their own meals, and learn culinary skills so they could use them to support themselves and their families when they are released.
In 2024 Commission To Every Nation announced they would be giving out grants for projects. I prayed, then filled out the application form. To my surprise, I received an email stating; “Congratulations! Your project has been chosen to receive grant funds!” WOW! Immediately we contacted the prison officials asking for a meeting. The director of the prison took us on a tour of the men’s side of the prison and showed us their kitchen. We were given a list of materials needed to start the project. Shortly after the supplies were purchased and shipped to the prison, the prison went through a long process of making changes to be accredited by the American Correctional Association. Needless to say, the kitchen project was placed on hold for many months until the prison was brought up to code. Recently the prison sent us photos of the ongoing construction of the kitchen. It has been a long, slow process, but we are assured one day that the small commercial kitchen for the women inmates will be completed.

If you have not had the opportunity to join Francisco and I on this journey of bringing the lost and broken down the Road to Recovery, we would ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us. Your financial gifts will help us have an even greater impact on the lives of the Mexican people.
Blessings,
Cheryl & Francisco
