Celebrate Recovery Mexico is Expanding-Apr 2025

Greetings Family and friends,
2025 started out with a bang! In January we relaunched Celebrate Recovery in Calvary Rosarito with almost 150 adults, youth and children in attendance. We also offer CR Step Studies online. We have participants from Alaska, Columbia, South Carolina, California, San Francisco and various parts of Mexico that have joined us seeking to be set free of their pain. God was faithful to provide servant leaders to fill every single position needed to walk participants on this year’s Road to Recovery.
Our goal is to see people respond to God’s healing hand in their lives and hear the gospel shared through the Celebrate Recovery materials. Watching Celebrate Recovery participants be set free from dysfunctional behaviors have empowered others to raise up and offer to serve alongside us. It takes strength and courage to stand up, share where we’ve come from to where God has brought us, and then use our gifts and talents to serve Him.
It is so beautiful to see how Celebrate Recovery has grown and continues to bear fruit across Mexico. We just emailed 19 certificates to men in a rehab center that completed their first set of Celebrate Recovery Step Studies online with Jose Michel. He is just one of our Celebrate Recovery online Step Study leaders. Modern technology never ceases to amaze us.
Pastor Dio is from our local church, and has been working in a local rehabilitation center. Recently he has been assigned the position of Pastoral Care over the patients at the rehab center. The plan is to bring Celebrate Recovery into this rehab center so others struggling with addictions can find a closer walk with Jesus, and freedom from their hurts, habits and hang-ups. It has been an honor for Francisco and I help Pastor Dio prepare for this new adventure.
Pastor Dio is one of 17 pastors at Calvary Rosarito
As servant leaders of Celebrate Recovery, none of us do the work set before us on our own strength or abilities, we do it with God’s guidance. Through much prayer, we have seen God’s faithfulness in sending us committed servant leaders not only in Celebrate Recovery in our local church, online and outside the church. God knows every our need and has been faithful to full positions where the needs are greatest. PRISON MINISTRY Let me share with you Dana’s story (name changed for security reasons). Dana was one of the female inmates in the Celebrate Recovery Inside program inside the Ensenada Prison. I will never forget Dana’s response when I asked her what she was grateful for. She told me she was grateful for everything that has happened in her life, good and bad. Dana was abused by her step-father from the age of 12 years old until she left home. Through Celebrate Recovery Inside Dana learned to forgive her step-father and to appreciate her mother rather than blame her for her pain. Now that’s victory!!! Dana has since been released from prison and is now able to put to use some of her new learned skills to reconnect with family and friends. Pray for Dana as she adjusts to life on the outside and that she continues to grow in her relationship with Jesus.

If you have not had the opportunity to join Francisco and I on this journey of bringing the lost and broken down the Road to Recovery, we would ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us. Your financial gifts will help us have an even greater impact in the lives of the Mexican people.
Thank you to those who faithfully walk alongside us in ministry. Your prayers and generosity are the backbone of this ministry. Please pray for continued financial provision to accomplish all the work to which He has called us. Pray also that we will be good stewards of His resources, trusting that He will supply all we need “according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Blessings, Cheryl & Francisco
